Language and Puerto Rican Culture Course
The Institute of
Languages and Multicultural Studies of the Deanship of General Education began
their Language and Puerto Rican Culture course today, May 11, 2016 as part of
an exchange agreement with the University of Alabama at Birmingham. The group
of ten students and their professor, Dr. John Maddox, will be visiting the
island over the next three weeks taking courses with Dr. José Gómez and
Professor Dalia Stella González, professors of the Deanship of General
Education. The educational experiences of the students include intensive
Spanish courses, history and culture of Puerto Rico, as well as visits to
museums and cultural institutions of relevance.
